David Bowie & Mike Garson au piano :Mike Garson (né en 1945) est un pianiste de jazz.

Alors qu'il jouait dans des clubs de jazz de New York en 1971, Mike Garson a été repéré par David Bowie qui lui a proposé de se joindre à lui pour sa première tournée Nord-Américaine. Après la tournée, Garson a sévi sur de nombreux enregistrements de Bowie, dont on retiendra notamment le solo d'Aladdin Sane. Après s'être séparé de Bowie une fois l'enregistrement de Diamond Dogs terminé, ce n'est que lors des sessions de 1.Outside qu'il est recontacté. Depuis, il a participé aux enregistrements de Earthling et Reality et était présent sur la tournée A Reality Tour.

Parallèlement à sa collaboration avec David Bowie, Mike Garson a également travaillé avec Nine Inch Nails, The Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt et Herbie Hancock. Il a entre autres fondé un groupe de jazz, Free Flights (1988 - 2004) auquel appartenait également le flutiste Jim Walker.

Il a récemment été invité par le chanteur français Raphaël à participer à ces derniers concerts acoustiques à Lausanne, Bruxelles et Paris au théâtre du Châtelet, pour clôturer sa tournée.
